Have you ever turned up the volume on the radio because you liked a song? Have you ever turned the volume down on the radio because you disliked a song, or even changed the station because you were exceedingly grieved by a song? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, you are qualified to be a Song Juror on this site. This is based on the notion that you know whether or not you like a song when you hear one, even without someone prompting you one way or another. If you’re interested in doing a little jury duty, log in if you have an account, or go to the contact us link for a free account so you be a part of the future of independent music. You never know what might happen. How Does It Work? The Song Jury part of the website is not available to the general public. You need to have an account to log in and get to that part of the website (it's free). The way this works is that when you sign up to be a juror your account will be set up so that you can rate songs. This song jury system works best when you only weigh in on songs from genres you like. Now for the Details... After you get an account, you log in as a juror in the upper right had of the website. Simply enter your account email address and password emailed to you when you signed up, and then click 'enter'. This will take you to your Juror account page where you can judge songs. You will rate songs after listening them on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best possible score. You will have the option to provide comments on the songs you've judged. Once you click the 'save' button, your score will be averaged to what other jurors have scored on that particular song. It takes 8 votes to complete a Song Jury session for each song. An average score of 7 gets a song to the public part of this site. You get to decide if the song is good enough to 'go public'. We want to keep things as objective in an imperfect world as possible, so artists cannot be jurors on their own music, but all artists can be jurors for other songs from other artists on this site. If you're still reading this, you are a trooper, and even more qualified to be a Song Juror. Click the contact us link if you want to be a Song Juror on this site, or if you found any typos.
